The maze runner: scorch trials by James Dashner is a book that takes place in the scorch, a post apocalyptic desert that formed when the sun flares burned all the earth. The story centers around the gladers, who finally escaped the maze and are trapped in a "safe house" of the secret organization WICKED. They have to go through the scorch, and cross an old and abandoned city filled with people infected with a virus that turns them into cannibal psychopaths called cranks. WICKED tells them that they are infected and that they need to get to the mountain to get the cure for "the flare" virus.
I think this book was worth reading because it was a very interesting sequel, I think the author James Dashner did a very good job making all the events make sense like the mazes. I think that people that like survival adventure stories would like this, also people that like mystery or suspense will like this novel because of the perfectly written moments in this book.
